Beauty and independence. A very sharp nose and strong will, she is living up to her name! Missy has two very different modes. She can be as quiet as can be when around the house, but let her loose in the field and she will run her heart out. Fast, driven, focused and relentless. She would run all day if you let her. She has a wonderfully gentle soul and loves everyone.
Missy’s Story:
(as of February 2026)
February 2026
While Missy is maturing and working towards her Championships, she will take time out to be bred. She is expected to come into season this Spring. Stud dog not yet chosen. Breeding announcement will be posted on the Litters Page. If you are interested in being considered for a waiting list, please fill out the Puppy Questionnaire on that page.
Summer 2025
Missy had a wonderful time at summer camp with Doug Ray. She learned about wild pheasants and how to handle! A first step to her being a polished gun dog!!
Summer 2024
Starting Missy off on a check cord to foster her nose for birds, it was an easy beginning. It didn’t take long for the light to click on and she became out of control crazy for finding and pointing birds. Her puppy career was short as a result. She needed a “handle” and that training would be next. She did get all of her amateur puppy and derby points and made us proud. She has a very mature pattern and we look forward to her growth and her bright future ahead!Â
As a fun thing to do, she ran in FastCAT a few times, enough to earn her a BCAT.Â
