Moxie

A glutton for punishment, I always choose the boldest puppy I can find in the litter.  Well, Moxie certainly WAS that puppy!!  Climbing out of any containment area when she was only a few weeks old to running independently away without worry (but would come back when happily called).  It took quite a while before she had a permanent name since I called her STINKER and she liked it!!  Moxie – aka Stinker – would become part of the family!!

As an update at a year old:  Moxie’s bold and independent nature has strengthened as she has gotten a little older.  Her speed and athletic ability are amazing!  As far as handling, if she goes off an alternate route, she will eventually show to the front.  She is fearless and comes back looking like she has been in a fight with small cuts from briars and keeping her tongue hanging out the side of her face like an accessory!  The biggest challenge is calling it a day at the end of a run.  She does not want to come in and call it quits.  We continue to work on that!!
