ABOUT US

I love my dogs with passion and use that same passion in my breeding program.  My experience with vizslas began 24 years ago – which have been the best years of my life.  I have been breeding since 2004.  I am currently in between moves and located in southern Virginia.

Why “Dee-Na-TA” and what does it mean??  Well, “dynata” is a greek word which according to the Greek dictionary means the following:  loud, mighty, nappy, nervy, possible, potent, potential, powerful, robust, strong, and vigorous.  When I try to put words around the vizsla, ALL these words drive the point home for me.  Since a very special friend of mine, a native Greek, is responsible for introducing me to the breed it seemed the perfect fit for a kennel name (not to mention it was the easiest word to try to pronounce – Greek words sure can be long and complicated!).

The dogs love to run on the rolling hills that we have at our farm.  I owner handle in many venues including conformation, hunting (hunt tests, NAVHDA and field trials) agility, and obedience.  It is so wonderful how truly versatile the vizsla is – they enjoy just about everything.  And there is no better way to feel true peace unless you have your vizslas snuggled up all over you when it comes time to rest.

I work training my dogs any spare moment I have.  I am proud to say that as an amateur, I trained and handled Hailey (DC AFC Dynata’s Bound To Be Shooting For It All SH) to receive top honors by being ranked by the Vizsla Club of America as the #1 Amatuer Gun Dog in 2017.  She was also the #1 Open Gun Dog, the #1 Amateur Gun Dog in the State of Ohio in 2017.  Her daughter Trudy (DC Dynata’s Bound To Be Firing On All Cylinders FDC) followed in Hailey’s footsteps receiving the same honor in Ohio in 2021 as the #1 Amateur and the #1 Combined Open and Amatuer Gun Dog of the Year,  I also trained and handled her mother Maddy (GCH DC AFC Dynata’s Bound To Know It All MH NAJ ROM) and her grandmother Lexi (CH Cameo’s Bound and Determined MH NA NAJ ROM)earning them amazing recognition!!  I love working with my red dogs, no matter the venue – they are so much fun!!!

I am active in many local vizsla clubs as well as a member of the national club – the Vizsla Club of America (VCA).  I have served on the Board of many of these clubs as well as Committee Chair for many functions for the VCA.  I was also the Chair for several VCA National Field Trials and the Chair of the VCA National Gun Dog Championship and volunteer my time as much as possible.
