ABOUT US

I love my dogs with passion and use that same passion in my breeding program.  My experience with vizslas began 28 years ago – which have been the best years of my life.  I have been breeding since 2004.  I am currently located in northwest Pennsylvania.

Why “Dee-Na-TA” and what does it mean??  Well, “dynata” is a greek word which according to the Greek dictionary means the following:  loud, mighty, nappy, nervy, possible, potent, potential, powerful, robust, strong, and vigorous.  When I try to put words around the vizsla, ALL these words drive the point home for me.  Since a very special friend of mine, a native Greek, is responsible for introducing me to the breed it seemed the perfect fit for a kennel name (not to mention it was the easiest word to try to pronounce – Greek words sure can be long and complicated!).

The dogs love to run on our 120 acre farm.  I owner handle in many venues including conformation, hunting (hunt tests, NAVHDA and field trials) agility, and obedience.  It is so wonderful how truly versatile the vizsla is – they enjoy just about everything.  And there is no better way to feel true peace unless you have your vizslas snuggled up all over you when it comes time to rest.

When I brought home my first vizsla, Nouli, I had no idea the journey this breed would take me.  He was a companion dog, but it didn’t take long for me to recognize how much fun they are to compete with!  They are smart, athletic and FUN!  He finished his show championship, but his main source of fun was agility.  So we really had fun as a team as he earned his way up to the excellent level.  Then came Lexi and her daughter Maddy – the heart of my breeding program.  Lexi – CH Cameo’s Bound and Determined MH NA NAJ ROM aka “the queen” was easy to show to her championship and then the field work really started.   I was bitten with the field bug.  Watching them apply themselves with their natural ability in the field became a passion.  Lexi easily finished her Master Hunter title!  Maddy – GCH DC AFC Dynata’s Bound To Know It All MH NAJ ROM, would follow in her mother’s footsteps.  I finished her show championship easily from the Bred By class.  She earned national recognition at the 2012 VCA National Specialty by going Select Bitch out of a very large class of Champions.  At the same time, we started training for hunt tests.  After finishing her Master Hunter title, I was asked to enter a local field trial to help with entries.  That was the beginning of my love for field trials.  She won a 3 point major that day, and even though she was 7 years old, it didn’t matter.  She finished her FC and AFC in about a year and a half.

Maddy’s daughter Hailey would be my puppy out of my 3rd generation, and she was very special.  I am proud to say that as an amateur, I trained and handled Hailey – DC AFC Dynata’s Bound To Be Shooting For It All SH to receive top honors by being nationally ranked by the Vizsla Club of America (VCA) as the #1 Amatuer Gun Dog in 2017.  She was also the #1 Open Gun Dog, the #1 Amateur Gun Dog in the State of Ohio in 2017.  She also earned the honor of Best Veteran In Review at the 2024 National Specialty. She was also nationally recognized  by the VCA as the Top Producing Field Trial Dam in 2022 and 2023 and Top Producing Hunt Test Dam in 2022.  Hailey received the VCA’s Registry of Merit in 2025.

Hailey’s daughter Trudy – DC AFC Dynata’s Bound To Be Firing On All Cylinders SH FDC is the puppy from my 4th generation and has followed in her mother’s footsteps.  She received the same honor in Ohio in 2021 as the #1 Amateur and the #1 Combined Open and Amatuer Gun Dog of the Year.  Hailey’s other daughter, Trixie – FC AFC Dynata’s Bound To Be All Fired Up was runner up at the 2025 National Amateur Field Trial and Trixie’s littermate Shelby (FC AFC Dynata’s Bound To Be A Fireball) placed 4th at the 2025 National Field Trial.

The next generations are showing a lot of promise!  Trixie’s daughter Moxie – Dynata’s Bound To Be Shooting For the Moon  BCAT won her National Puppy Stake in 2022.  Trudy’s daughter Missy – Dynata’s Bound To Fire At Will is also showing tremendous promise.  Moxie’s son Eli – Dynata’s Bound To Be A Shooting Star won both the National Puppy and National Derby Classic at the 2025 National Field Trial.

Reflecting back to the beginning, I am so honored to have 3 generations of Dual Champions and 3 generations of VCA Registry of Merit recipients.  Not to mention the amazing temperaments and the wonderful families that have been part of the extended Dynata Vizsla family for the last almost 30 years.

I am active in many local vizsla clubs as well as a member of the national club – the Vizsla Club of America (VCA).  I have served on the Board of many of these clubs as well as Committee Chair for many functions for the VCA.  I have also served as the Chair for numerous VCA National Field Trials and National Gun Dog Championships.  I am also the president of a local Pointing Dog Club in PA.  I try to volunteer as much time as I can!
